2009 Year End Report

This year we put on two Level One (Rookie) clinics in the Lower Mainland and were able to place a number of fine and very promising officials on the field. Recruitment on New Officials needs to continue as our group and program continue to grow.

This year we were not successful in obtaining gaming funding for our program and this hampered our spirits and resources to reach out to the community and new members, we need to the search out new resources and means for our associationŐs continued growth.

This year we adopted new awards for each division having a Rookie of the Year and the Most Improved for each division instead of the BCFOA as a whole to reach out to all parts of our organization and have eliminated the Official of the Year. We have also changed the format of the award from a plague to something the award winner can carry with them as recognition and to promote this award throughout the year.

This will be my last term as Director of member services for Metro and the Lower Mainland; I have enjoyed my term in office and wish to thank all of you who gave me support.

Respectively

Bill Yerdon
